saltytooth
Hi All, I was wondering how AMCAS calculates GPA for people with 2 degrees. I contacted several schools and they said AMCAS uses EVERY course ever taken, but I'm wondering if there are any exceptions where only the second degree is used. I emailed AMCAS directly, but they're taking their sweet time to reply, so I thought I try this forum out. Does AMCAS calculate GPA for every single American med school, or are there some schools that calculate GPA outside of AMCAS? Thanks.
Rayven
Every course I'm afraid. Osteopathic schools will take the AVERAGE of repeat courses.. that's about the only special GPA consideration in the States.

Coach
Thanks for the reply Rayven. Wish I knew I wanted to be a Doc when I was younger and doing my first degree, wouldn't have screwed around as much lol! Well at least there are many Canadian med schools that will only focus on the 2nd degree. There's hope for you, no?
