superman019
Hello everyone I am an undergrad and m thinking of reapplying to my science faculty again. My grades in my 1st yr werent so great and so i m thinking of reapplying for the same program in the same faculty. However, I dont know how the med schools would treat this case. Would they consider my initial grades from my 1st yr? or would they consider my latest grades? Thanks
Rayven
Depends on what medical school you're applying to. The unforgiving schools like McMaster for example will look at your entire cGPA regardless. Other schools might only look at your new degree (ie McGill). What concerns me most (and I don't have an answer for) is if you retake the same courses, some schools (if I recall) will not count them as part of a course-loud and thus you wouldn't have a full-course load for an entire year. However, if you went to another school and applied for the same program, as long as the transcript does not indicate the course as a "REPEAT/RETAKE" then you might be good to go. Let me know what happens if you do contact admissions!
