AAHHH!! OMSAS just deleted my sketch!

Recommended Posts

lol. I'm sure that people are having actual OMSAS nightmares as well!

I can sympathise!! It happened with me too. I just got off the phone w/ them. They're suggesting that we not do ANYTHING on the system. Just log out, and they will e-mail us (those that gave them their IT numbers.) They have their programmers working on it.

So, now I'm just hoping for the best. We may have to re-enter the info, we may not...but it all depends on what they can come up with.

Stay calm. It'll all be resolved soon. Here's hoping.

I just called omsas and this really nice lady picked up who saved me from freaking out. Her advice do not do anything! there are back ups on the server! the sketch has been lost for all applicants! i asked her if I should restart in word or anything, and she said not to do anything at all and relax. it is gonna be fixed, they dont know the time, but definitely before the deadline (not too much of consolation!)

Yeah, I called and got the same thing. They have a notice posted on the website as well:

Important Note: OMSAS is aware of a technical problem concerning the autobiographical sketch. Applicants are advised to log out of their applications and not do anything further until this problem is resolved. If you email us with your IT number, we will send you an email when the situation has been remedied.

This is poo because I had some time right now to input some of the verifiers and things I have saved elsewhere... but oh well, lol.

Deep breathes, people.

Sketches are back. As per OMSAS:

Important Note: The technical problem concerning the Autobiographical Sketch has now been resolved. Any data entered prior to 2:30 a.m. EDT this morning (September 23, 2009) is now available. If you made any changes to your Sketch after this time, you should carefully review all items to ensure that your Sketch is accurate.
