mermaid
At serving staff we saw $2.00 an hour added to our wages to reflect the gratuity paid on the total bill..... There was a bartender and kitchen staff that got tipped as well... but, it was obvious the banquet hall was pocketing most of it. wow, that really is too bad... I thought I had a hard deal paying back a small percentage of my tips to the kitchen staff/manager! I loved my waitressing job though, I think my mother worried sometimes about how much I was enjoying my summers....
The Ace of Spades
I never tip when I pick up pizza at Pizza Hut or Boston Pizza. Isn't making me a pizza what you get paid for?
trymeover
Yeah, but tipping ensures they don't urinate in your tomato sauce next time you pick up from the same place. C'mon man, use your head!
seann
Lol this one time I tipped a waiter less than 10% just because that was the change I had and he later came by and asked me if he did anything wrong.
trymeover
Yeah, you should've told him it was rude of him to expect tips.  Tell him to go to medschool so he wouldn't have to rely on tips anymore.
blind_synergy
Unless the service bad, I'll generally tip 15-20%. People depend on the tips.
The Ace of Spades
I plan to tip more when I'm no longer a starving student.
Byronnn
I plan to tip more when I'm no longer a starving student. Same here. I can barely afford to take a date out to dinner, so I tip enough to be considered acceptable, but not usually as much as I'd like to for outstanding service. Dongzhuo
LOL..I usually leave slightly more than 10%. Guess that makes me cheap. Boohoo. However, occasionally if a very attractive waitress draws smiley faces on the cheque or something I might tip 15%. Or 20%

foregoneconclusion
Do you guys seriously not tip for a beer at the bar? What happens when you order a second and third drink? If it's crowded, it's hard enough to a a bartender's attention...
apache
Meh, some people are really awesome so I give them a sick tip, 25 percent or something... on the contrary one time the pizza man where i order pizza from walked off with 7 dollArs of my 20 one day, needless to say i've been tipping him 52 cents a visit for the last 2 years
