Guest paging_dr
My final exams don't end until late April, and my marks for my current year likely won't be finalized until the end of May. However UWO are handing out acceptances mid-May. I was wondering how much time I have to provide an updated transcript with another year that meets the GPA cutoff. HBP
You'll be conditionally accepted until you can give them your final transcript. Then you'll either be accepted or rejected.

You will have enough time - I think it is June 15th and if there are problems then we can work on that as well. good luck on your tests!
vanillaicecream
Are the GPA calculated based on OMSAS weighting?.. or based on the credit weighting of my school?... it can make the difference between 3.697 and 3.70 =(
HBP
OMSAS. I think 3.697 is rounded to 3.70 since they only carry 2 decimal places?
vanillaicecream
I'm hoping that's the case. But that would only work if they ignore the transcript I send in May, and go back to submitted OMSAS grades? Any ideas which they look at? Rounding to 3.70 would help, but I'm just afraid I won't be able to argue my way through that if more decimals are looked at.
HBP
Try to make sure you don't leave it up to chance. Go contact all your profs and try to get whatever you can to bump it up.
Dr. Jan Intor
does that actually work? Is it common for profs to bump a 79 to a 80 or a 84 to a 85 if you talk to them?
Nobodycirclesthewagons
I don't know how common it is, but I think 79 to 80 would be more common. Regardless of how common it is, you should ask for a bump if the situation is dire.
