lala_MAC
I was just wondering if anyone else either has experience or is considering commuting from Toronto (by car in particular)? How difficult is it to manage? Thanks in advance for your feedback & thoughts...Lala
TimeOut
I was just wondering if anyone else either has experience or is considering commuting from Toronto (by car in particular)? How difficult is it to manage? Thanks in advance for your feedback & thoughts...Lala Hey! I commuted for a solid two months last year during Sept - Oct (I was working as a research assistant at Mac back then). Needless to say, it was very very exhausting. I'm not just talking about the amount of time driving (from Toronto downtown it's about 35 minutes if there's no traffic but I was coming from uptown so it was 50 minutes). For this sort of "no traffic" timing though, I would have to leave around 7am (trust me, there is a HUGE difference between 7 and 7:15) and for the evenings, I would always leave after 7pm. On those unlucky days that I slept in for 15 minutes, it would take me about 1.5 hours to get to Mac in the morning and the worst I had driving back home was 2.5 hours. Soo...my point? Try it if you'd like...but unless you're commuting from Oakville or Mississauga, I'd say the drive from Toronto could be pretty rough. Hope that helps! deeman101
I'm going to be commuting between Mississauga and Mac in the fall. I've timed the drive. Through morning and evening rush hour traffic it takes 25-35mins. Commuting from closer to Yonge is pretty much death unless you take the 407 ETR.
