loodogg
Does anyone know if they actually check your examples? For my prep course i always make up b.s dates and little stuff like that....they're real examples but i have no idea when some happened so i just make something up that seems right and they never check...if I were to get stuck on the mcat and fudge up some random number as a date for a real event or something like that would they actually take the time to check this or just focus more on the example in general rather than every little detail

I really don't think they care about the little details like names or dates, as long as the example you're using supports your main argument well. kylamonkey
...you spelled Schwarzenegger's name correctly on your MCAT Writing Sample! ROTFL!! Oh, too funny! I probably did. I think I got a perfect score on that essay from both markers, in any case, I don't even think it would drop you.

cheeseshredder
I did not... Went in and did it blind, no current events, no outline, just typed. Ended up with an S..but that's just about the only thing that went right with my MCAT. Go figure.
dashley
I had a terribly boring office job so I took an hour every afternoon for about 2 or 3 weeks to do 2 essays/ day. I think it is worth doing - or at least the outlines so you have a good stockpile of examples and don't freak out.
