U.S Med

How does the adcom at u.s schools differ in there pre-med assessments. From what I know they emphasize on things like:

 

sgpa: calculated gpa for the pre-requisite science courses

MCAT: from what I hear they value MCAT alot more than canadian schools

extracurriculars: i know many people would be like 'do what you like' but from what I gather u.s med schools value more hospital and clinical exposure.
