pishposh
I have never EVER taken physics in my life (not even in highschool). What level of physics does the MCAT test. Should I take a very basic introductory physics course?
wizy32
it test material that is normally covered in a first yr undergrad physics course. no real advance stuff either, (no real hard core calculus)
pishposh
thanks. do you think I would be able to learn what I needed to know for physics from an MCAT coruse, or should I take some basic physics course first?
takashi
How well do you think your problem solving abilities are? Physics is all about problem solving and manipulating equations to find the unknown value. MCAT also tests conceptual stuff as well but I find majority of the physics section is finding certain values. If you think you have good problem solving skills, than the MCAT course should suffice. shannn
If you took physics in high school, you'll be fine with a prep book. I highly recommend Nova Physics
rollester
If you took physics in high school, you'll be fine with a prep book. I highly recommend Nova Physics I would strongly recommend that you take a physics course first (at school or university). That way, you can take it step by step instead of trying to learn it all with just a prep course. Once you have background in physics, you could use the prep course to work on hard sections like verbal. That's my 2 cents anyway.
