Guest postman
Hi guys, I was wondering which one of the following I should take from the website: http://www.ottawa.ca/residents/ambulance/community_medicine/first_aid/courses_en.html Do you think the one titled "Health Care Provider (HCP) CPR C “Basic Rescuer” and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Certification" is enough? It's only $50 and 4 hours. The first one looks more comprehensive though but it's 2 days and $120, and I'd rather not spend the extra time and money if I don't have to. Health Care Provider CPR C and AED is JUST the CPR component. If you had Standard First Aid but not a CPR certificate, that would be fine. You need Standard First Aid on top of that course, which is why it is only 50 dollars and a half-day.

Hmm so the comprehensive one I need to take is "Standard First Aid, CPR C “Basic Rescuer” and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Certification," (the first one)? Thanks! Thanks! Yep, that one would cover it. There are places that do the HCP CPR-C + Standard First Aid, but fewer private companies/individual instructors offer it because you need additional qualifications to teach it. john3900
Do we even need the AED certification?

john3900
Thanks. I'm also wondering which provider people are taking their first aid and CPR C with (red cross or st. john's) and why?
MansionMD
Are you from London? If you are, look into doing it with SERT because they offer student rates. That's where I am doing it.
