atg
Hey I just finished my undergrad studies and was not very successful with the med applications this cycle, since I'm still on a waitlist. My backup is to do a masters. I am just curious if it is necessary to wait for two years before I apply again or can I actually hope to apply and get in after a year of my masters. Thanks
AndreaM
Some universities will not allow to apply until you are in your final year and others require that you get a letter from your supervisor stating that they know you are applying to med. If you start a masters you should probably plan on finishing it.
rayjay
I know of at least two instances in which someone in the middle of their graduate program was "disqualified" from UBC because they could not prove they would defend/graduate before July 15 of the year they were seeking entrance. Schools like UofC will allow you to, but I think you have to be in one of their graduate programs. In that case you can defer to finish your degree.
