being salaried and having a secretary

if you are salaried at a hospital or clinic as a family physician or internist, do you get a secretary? if so who pays the secretaries salary. you or the hospital/clinic. do they take a portion of your billings for overhead?

or sometimes you share secretaries with 2-3 other docs

 

I think it depends where you work—it's different in different places. I'm sure you have to pay for it either directly, or through overhead deductions. Though it's possible some hospitals would make it a "perk" of employment.
