Where do most people end up living? Closer to the school or apartments downtown? Is it a pain to park at school/take the bus?

Parking is easy if you have a car. Med students are pretty much guaranteed a spot. The bus system in St. John's is useless.

 

Personally, I live in the east end of town. I'm not a big fan of downtown. Parking is terrible, no green space, harbour smell. If you are going to rent there, make sure you visit the place first. Some spots are really nice, others are rat holes.
