Alkatize
http://www.md.utoronto.ca/site5.aspx What is this? Is this a undergraduate course that leads to a Bachelor's Degree? Honestly, I'm really knew to this stuff, even though I've been researching a lot, so please don't flame me or anything. I know that it doesn't really matter what school you go to for undergrad, but I don't know what pre-requisite courses are needed to get into the U of T medical school. All schools have different pre-requisites I presume, so I'm really not sure. What prerequisites are needed to get into U of T medical school? I'm also looking into U of T for my undergrad studies. I heard it isn't the best school since it's really hard, but right now I'm really confused. I really can't choose the best undergraduate course related to Emergency Medicine. I was thinking of taking the joint-program with centennial college for paramedicine and a honours degree in science. So can anyone share their story on how they got into medical school, and maybe answer the questions listed above?
HBP
That link is the medicine program (all medical programs are undergraduate)... you can't get in directly from high school... Pre-reqs are here: http://www.md.utoronto.ca/admissions/information/requirements/Undergraduate_Applicants.htm You should read the OMSAS booklet, and peruse through the website you've already found. It doesn't matter what undergraduate you take if you're end-goal is an MD/EM. Just take whatever you're interested in. Your questions are very basic, so you should definitely do some basic research on your own. Start with the OMSAS booklet, then read the medical program websites for more info.
