peapod
hi, on the application, for the course work section, you are supposed to only enter the pre-reqs? what about the other courses you've taken? does anyone know if for an out-of-province applicant, can you substitute a higher level course for the lower level course? say i took biol 100 but has a lower mark than biol 300, can i put biol 300 down as a pre-req? i heard alberta, before they took down pre-req mark requirement, that you could upgrade your pre-req gpa like that. sorry if this is a really stupid question :S thanks for the help
Genemo
UBC counts whatever you take first as your pre-req. If your took biol300 earlier than biol100 then you will be using biol300, but I guess you took biol100 first then no.
dmleo
pre-req is not part of the AQ anyway so I wouldn't worry too much about it or should I?

kylamonkey
hi, on the application, for the course work section, you are supposed to only enter the pre-reqs? what about the other courses you've taken? Don't enter all courses. Just pre-reqs. does anyone know if for an out-of-province applicant, can you substitute a higher level course for the lower level course? say i took biol 100 but has a lower mark than biol 300, can i put biol 300 down as a pre-req? i heard alberta, before they took down pre-req mark requirement, that you could upgrade your pre-req gpa like that. No, you can't. Like others have said, they take the "first course that satisfies pre-req requirements". sorry if this is a really stupid question :S thanks for the help If you would like to get absolute answers, just email them through the mailbox feature on the application. They usually get back to you really fast.
zunik
I thought pre-reqs were part of the AQ. why would they ask for them?
Chicago Love
I thought pre-reqs were part of the AQ. why would they ask for them? No. AQ includes GPA (or %) of the last 60 credits and overall GPA. I believe MCAT and pre-req are scrutinized post-interview.
