explaining extenuating circumstances

Recommended Posts

hey, I'm wondering if there is any way to explain extenuating circumstances that led to someone having lower grades (i.e.: family deaths, illness) to the Queen's adcom.

In some post it says that if you fall slightly short of the cut off, you'll be assessed case by case, but "slightly short" is ambiguous, and I'd really like to explain myself...

I emailed Queens twice and haven't heard back...

First, I think they only assess case by case if you're a grad student applying and your cGPA and 2year GPA don't make the cutoff, but you're slightly under.

Second, as far as I'm aware, they don't let you explain things like that. I Could be wrong, but I haven't heard of them doing that before.
