waters479
I am UBC student applying to some American medical schools and was wondering if anyone was experiencing similar confusion: Most US medical schools require 8 semester hours of say physics, which essentially means one full year of physics plus one year of a lab. It seems if one took PHYS 101, 102 that criteria would be satisfied, but would only show up as 6 semester hours. Has anyone dealt with this discrepancy before? Thanks! Madz25
i went to UofT for undergrad & when i applied to US schools, AMCAS put all my courses as being either 3 or 6 semester hours (regardless of lab component). for schools that required 4 or 8 semester hours...i listed the same courses as being 4 or 8 on the secondary applications for those schools (even though they showed up as 3/6 on my AMCAS app). i didnt have any problems doing that. look through the american school forum. this topic has been brought up many times there.
