LupeFiasco
As far as I understand, in order to be eligible for a full file review you need a decent best two years GPA (around 3.7 should be good but I'm not a 100% sure [although the average GPA of those accepted is 3.80 for the best two years - but it is an average so you do have outliers]) at the time of application and you need a decent MCAT (10s and a Q will do; anything higher should be bonus). When your file is being reviewed they will look at your entire GPA or cGPA, so all your four or five years depending on when you are planning to apply will be considered (so your bad first two years will be included). You need a cGPA close to 3.60 (a 3.50 will do as well) to be considered for an interview but you will also need good ECs. The 3.60 GPA is the average cGPA of IP applicants accepted. I think you have a solid shot at getting an interview and if you have special circumstances which can explain your poor marks in your first 2 years, your chances will increase. Good Luck! PS. When you say they eliminate the lowest year, the school you are talking about is Alberta. Also with those marks and a decent MCAT you also have a shot at Western and Queens. Also, your question is most definitely NOT redundant! On another note, I just read your previous posts and I'm wondering if you realize that this is a Medical School thread not Dental. Regardless, I hope the above info helps.
