amna
Hi There, I am also trying to give exam in Nov for the first time. Just wondering, what are the books you are studying and how many times you have given the exam? I would appreciate your support. Amna
Yakobu
I found IQ publications to be most helpful for carving and PAT examples. The RC and science tests were not entirely representative. I cannot stress enough the effectiveness of the Rock the DAT course, especially if you are writing in Edmonton (as this course is run by Dental students from the U of A). You'll have a wealth of local students helping tutor you for carving (when I took the course, it was a ratio of 2:1 for students:teachers) I found the biggest hurdle was the price for the course, but when your tuition is in excess of 120K/4yrs, it's a small price to pay in the long run. XZeRO
I haven't applied to any Canadian schools because of my pretty brutal GPA (minus lowest year it's about 3.4 in undergrad). Unfortunately, canadian schools don't care much about a thesis-based masters. But I did take RTD, and my DAT scores are: 22 20 21 21 23 29 20 / bio, chem,aa,ts,pat, carv,rc. I did take RTD before I practiced any of the carving myself, which is actually really helpful because I did not practice with any poor habits i developed myself.
