Hoote
I don't see a value in Mac's pre and post interview scoring for ECs. Does anyone know how much weight they hold? I have 3.3 GPA, don't know MCAT yet, and TONS of ECs, married w/ five kids, in the CF with a tour to Afghanistan, etc. Thanks!
repede
I don't think McMaster requires or looks at your Autobiographical Sketch (list of activities/qualifications). :S The only place for you to mention your ECs is in your Autobiographical Submission (answer 5 questions in 700 characters each). However, with the introduction of CASPer, they won't even look at your Autobiographical Submission either (unless CASPer fails).

aqm
So, We do not NEED verifier for the ABS ya? Does OMSAS accept the application without Verifiers? If I don't enter a verifier, the check mark box to the right of the activity remains unchecked-would that be a problem when submitting? Thanks "Note: McMaster applicants are not required to provide verifiers for the autobiographical sketch (48-item list of activities)." http://www.ouac.on.ca/docs/omsas/b_omsas_e.pdf
aqm
-For the ABS, what will unpaid nursing clinical rotations come under? Formal education or volunteer? -IS the ABS required? -Verifiers are NOT required for the ABS? -When exactly are the reference letters/confidential assessment form due? Oct 1? What if they are submitted by Oct 15?
repede
Use your best judgement when it comes to categories. In my opinion, anything that leads to a diploma, certification, etc. should go under Formal Education. For McMaster, you do not need verifiers for the Sketch. You need to do the McMaster Submission. Those DO REQUIRE VERIFIERS. Use the Add/Update Verifiers function on the Sketch page. References and Assessment forms are also due October 1, but I've heard that they are lenient and will accept them until December 1. But earlier is better. aqm
Hey guys, I heard from McMaster. Dear Admissions Officer: > > -For the ABS, what will unpaid nursing clinical rotations come under? > Formal education or volunteer? > -IS the ABS required? > -Verifiers are NOT required for the ABS? > -When exactly are the reference letters/confidential assessment form > due? Oct 1? What if they are submitted by Oct 15? > > Regards Hello Any rotations undertaken as part of your educational program should be listed as formal education. The autobiographical submission (5 questions) AND the autobiographical sketch (48 item list) are both mandatory. You need verifiers for any specific activities you mention in your responses to the autobiographical submission (5 questions) The reference letters are due Oct 1st, but we do give you some leeway with these since it's out of your hands. If they are received mid-October, that's fine. Take care Wendy
