Dongzhuo
Being a keener, I'm already thinking about electives for fourth year. Let's say I'm looking to apply for School A and B. But the turn around time is 8 weeks. So if 8 weeks goes by, and they don't accept me, then I've waited for so long and taken no action. Should I apply to several schools, and then decide which ones to take? But if I do that, and then I apply for residency to those same schools I "rejected" would the program remember me and hold a grudge? Please advise me! Lactic Folly
If you cancel at the last minute, that is a risk.. less likely if you cancel well in advance so those elective spots can go to other students. If a school has no limit on how early you can apply, 8 weeks may still be an acceptable delay if you apply extremely early. Otherwise, if you apply to more than one school simultaneously, be aware that elective application fees are usually nonrefundable.
