slivoice
Hi All, A very basic question: How do dental schools, say UT, calculate applicant's GPA? I had an international undergraduate education. Our system is percentage based and each one-semester-long course worth a credit ranging from 2 to 5. Is there an instruction or calculator available? Many thanks!
Xman
There is no calculator on line as far as I know. You have to call UoT and ask them because I think it may be even more complex for International students depending on where u are coming from. I know for example, Western uses the following chart : http://www.ouac.on.ca/docs/omsas/c_omsas_b.pdf hope that helps.

Xman
I am not sure about that. I was more refering to cases that is a Grade point converstion ( for example from to a percentage. The best way is to call them up and ask them. They are very helpful and pleasent at Western.
John wiliamz
Translate every grade into a number. This may not be as simple as it seems. Some high schools roll all course grades into the GPA. Others may leave non academic courses like Health or Physical Education out of the GPA. Each high school can define its grade equivalency table differently. Consult your guidance counselor to be sure you know your school’s policy.
