sticky1
Hi. Does anyone know what a transgene negative mice is referring to?
gb35
Probably a mouse that lacks a particular transgene.... So if you put a transgene into mice, and then were trying to scan for which mice had the transgene, these would be the mice that didn't. Some context might help us give you a better answer, but that's what it means to me.

Ubiquitine
[...] Some context might help us give you a better answer, but that's what it means to me. Agree with that. Maybe it is referring to transgene silencing, or cosuppression. Transgene = gene that has been introduced into the chromosome of a random organism ( in a lab ) It's happen that the transgen incorporated into the chromosome, but failed to express the protein. It's called transgene silencing. Cosuppression = If you incorporate a gene that is normally inside the organism (engogenous), normal copy + transgene failed to produce the protein
