Larrivee
Hey, does anyone know the best way to get to U of A from the airport on a student's budget (ie not taxi)??
ellorie
Yeah - there's a shuttle that runs right from the airport to campus. http://www.edmontonskyshuttle.com/ You can just go to the kiosk in the airport near the exit and buy a ticket. I did it last time I went to edmonton and it dumped me right on campus.

ellorie
$30 round trip, $18 one way. It's kinda steep, but it's better than a cab.

ellorie
Well, compared to being able to take public transit in most cities, I'd say it's pricey.
1centrino
It looks like the shuttle schedule won't work for me after the interview. I don't want to risk missing my flight... If I have to take a cab, is there a cab company cheaper than the other? -- I see there's the "Co-op taxi", "yellow cab", and "barrel taxi". The "co-op taxi" estimates ~$50 from my hotel to the airport. Thanks.
Dr.Gosling
There is a newish transit line that runs between the LRT and the airport. It's $5. It doesn't run on weekends though, but I guess if you're getting in on Friday...: http://webdocs.edmonton.ca/transit/route_schedules_and_maps/future/RT590.pdf http://www.canoe.ca/Travel/News/2010/11/01/15906356.html
