Remy
Upon first impression, sitting in the clinic while the doctor diagnose the patient comes to mind, but thinking about it, that seems very unlikely lol My friend says that anything you do in the hospital counts as clinical experience, but I am dubious. I can accept things like shadowing a doctor, but do escorting patients out, conversing with patients, or even working at the gift shop count? And what are some positions that you would suggest for volunteering in a hospital? Thanks!
Basically anything and everything relating to patient care. Obviously working in the gift shop at a hospital isn't clinical exposure (basically it is an unpaid cashier). Clinical experience is not limited to just a hospital or doctor's office. Rehabilitation and therapy services, taking care of a sick or elderly relative are other examples of 'clinical' experiences.
