"Academic score"

Recommended Posts

Hey, I'm sure this has been discusses at length, but I just wanted to ask:

When UofT says that 60% of the score of a candidate is based on academics, what does that mean? Is that solely gpa? I've heard rumors that publications can boost academic score (is this true for undergrads?), and that everyone gets a "base score" based on where you are in your studies. For example, a PhD would get a higher base score than a masters, who would get higher than an undergrad, etc. (and I'm guessing that 3rd years get little to no base score, which partially explains why it is soo difficult for them).

Any thoughts???
