MacBiochem
So I know Queens looks at your last two years of study... so say i am applying to get in after my fourth year of undergrad... meaning I apply during the beginning of my fourth year. Does that mean they look at my 2nd year and 3rd year marks? or would they look at 3rd and 4th? and is it possible that they look at my 3rd year marks and give me a conditional acceptance sort of thing? I have been trying to call but can't get in touch with anyone... any help would be great
EBDOC15
they will look at all three years first. If you don't meet the cgpa cutoff they will look at your last two years (2nd and 3rd years). Queen's doesn't do conditional acceptances. Another important consideration is that when they look at your two most recent years, they take the combined gpa. For example myself, I had a 3.68 in one year and a 3.9 in the subsequent year. Thus, unlike UWO, where you have to meet a cutoff in each of the years, Queen's evaluates only the average. pokaroo
How do the summer courses play into all of this?
pokaroo
Right- so lets say that you are applying in your third year? So cGPA = 1 year + summer + 2 year Best 2 year GPA: 1 year + 2 year only? Correct me if i'm wrong.. I have a tendency to overlook small details
Dr. Jan Intor
Queens counts 5th non-degree special years too right?
Applemanv3
Number of years is irrelevant to Queen's. So, 5th non-degree special years are viable as far as I have gleaned from admissions.
