Nothing has happened to him! He had no choice b/c pf the adverse publicity against the university and the med school but to resign as Dean - however, he has been given a 4 month paid leave of absence and returns as a prof!

 

The university has yet to report on its findings/sanctions if any pursuant to the investigation it has undertaken.

 

So, it seems that he is getting a free ride and if this is the xase, what a shame. Moreover, on the assumption that there is smoke where there is fire, as he failed to receive the Deanship @ Manchester, he must have fouled up there to, a cover-up?

 

He has become a liability to the university and is a poster child of what not to do, of the lesson that arrogance in believing in the stupidity of others only results in giving evidence of your own stupidity/shameful conduct to the entire world thereby destroying your reputation forever. He certainly is not a rolemodel for a Dean or professor and having totally lost his credibility, he should be fired and sent packing.

U/A feel the heat so it is not all that simple yet.

 

And I would really like to know the behind the scenes story why he was given the post permanently @ Manchester, he must have really screwed up there to (and it was hidden - he just moved on). Now, he has the glare of daylight following his footsteps and he has lost respect of students, administration and professors. It is not quite over. The internet is a marvelous light, even our posts about this will be avaiable on google I believe.
