Program fees

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Would anyone be able to provide an estimate of the tuition throughout the course of the 4 years?

On the UofA website I can only find the tuition+fees for first year (~13G), but I am trying to find program fees for year 2-4 in order to be able to apply for a LOC

Thanks!

Dude, that article you have in your signature section is hilarious! What was your reason for including it? Is it real?

LOL, glad you liked it. It's from The Onion, which is a satirical newspaper in the US, also available online. They publish over-the-top articles, and one of the funniest things is when you see people on Facebook or wherever get really upset over one of these articles thinking it's the real thing. Check out this article, for example:

And then a compilation of people's reactions to it, thinking it's real news:

Hahahahaha! Those people really don't understand onion articles, how do they even find them anyways?

In order to be able to apply for Osap (ontario student loan), I need an estimated cost for books, tuition and incidental fees (individuals numbers for each) for the first year of University. I also need to know roughly how many weeks we will be spending in school.

Is anyone able to shed some light?

Tuition - roughly 12 grand

Books - depends on your style. Anywhere from $0 to $1000 if you buy a ton

Incidentals - in first year, $170 for stethoscope, $40 for white coat.. if you print your notes I would include a cost for paper and printer, I probably went through an entire laser cartridge in first year alone.

You are in school from the last week of August till the first week of May

This is from the Alberta student loans application which fills it in automatically (because Alberta is much better than ontario in every conceivable way).

Requested Tuition: $11,754

Requested Mandatory Fees: $1,280

Requested Books/Supplies/Instruments: $2,153

Computer Cost: $300

Program Session Start Date: 29-Aug-2011

Program Session End Date: 07-May-2012

LOL! Agreed.
