Thanks guys Both require a different type of attention and can be difficult if you are not interested in the brain, but I enjoyed them. If you are more anatomy and structure based with your interests, sensation and behavioural neuro is better for you.

Let'sGo1990
ya I think behavioural might be for me. has anyone had any experience with cross-mellor? is 3285F - RESRCH IN BEHAVIOURAL NEUROSCI an ok course? any suggestions for a good 3rd year research course or is it mainly dependent on self interest? and has anyone tried a special topics course and are they hard to do well in? I haven't heard anything about that course, but I have heard good things about psychology 3229B - evolution and human behaviour and will be taking it this year. The professor teaching psychology 3209F/G has good ratings on ratemyprof, and his course evaluations don't seem that bad either, so I am looking into taking that course as well. Besides the 1.0 credits worth of 3rd year psychs I need for my module, I am also required to take 1.0 credits worth of 2nd year psych courses numbered 2400 through 2790. Being a psych major, I was wondering if you could provide me with some input about the following courses/professors: Psychology 2660A/B (Introduction to industrial and organizational psychology - taught by Meyer one term, and Allen the other term). Psychology 2720A/B (Introduction to social psychology - taught by Sorrentino one term, and Seligman the other term). This course is also offered online and is being taught by Lackenbauer. I've heard very good things about psychology 2660A/B with Allen and am basically dead set on taking it. Regardless, the more opinions I have, the better. For psychology 2720A/B, I am debating between taking the course online with Lackenbauer or taking the course with Seligman. The problem is, however, that there are mandatory tutorials for 2 hours a week and because I'd rather avoid them, I am inclined towards taking the course online. Unfortunately, I have not heard much about Lackenbauer. Any input would be appreciated! Edit: Just so you know, psychology 3285F is already full. stack
2720 was my worst mark.. The course was so fluffy and I honestly thought I had aced the tests as they seemed pretty silly but I was shocked to find I had made many errors. Its easy material but the profs are often wont to make hard tests out of fluff. Plus I was too focused on cell bio. Really pissed with that course and it still stings... Not to say you cant do well. Material isnt hard at all. Just dont underestimate it. I heard seligman is terrible though.

The tutorials sound like a pain in the ass. How did you find those? And Have you heard anything about the online version of psych 2720 taught by Lackenbauer? As for my research course, I've taken Biology 2290 and am under the impression that it should satisfy the research credit criteria. If you haven't taken 2290 and are thinking of taking it, just let me know and I'll tell you more about it. And yes, they are all half credits, meaning that I will have to take two 0.5 credits to fulfill the 1.0 credit criteria required for my module. I am currently enrolled in psychology 3229B (evolution and human behaviour), and am looking into taking either one of psychology 3209F/G (Neuroscience of motivation and emotion - but you said you didn't like neuroscience) and psychology 3225A (sex differences in human brain and behaviour). EDIT: As for what I've heard about the third year psychs, I've been told that 3229 is a fair and interesting option with a good prof. Apparently it's not a bird course, but it's not killer either. The prof teaching psych 3209 (Kavaliers), has good ratings on ratemyprof and his course evaluations seem pretty decent which is why I am trying to get into his course. Psych 3209 has a term paper worth 25 percent, a midterm worth 35 percent, and a final exam worth 40 percent. The midterm and final will consist of short answer + essays, so if you're not into writing, then this would be a course to avoid. Admittedly, I have not heard much about 3225, but it sounds pretty cool. The prof's course evaluations seem alright, but his ratemyprof ratings are kind of iffy. stack
I am actually interested in that neurosci course you mentioned. 2720 tutorials were a joke and completely easy so long as you answer some questions aloud. It was the tests that screwed me but anyone else should be able to ace it...I sadly skipped many of those early morning courses to catch cell bio tutorials. Didnt take online. good luck
