ladeeda
Doesn't this contradict the posted stats: http://www.md.utoronto.ca/admissions/information/requirements/Academic/MCAT.htm its says you must have a minimum of 9/section and some people got in with 7s also is it true that the mcat scores aren't used for anything other than a flag
Mithril
There's leeway if one section falls below the minimum if other areas of the application can make up for it.
anxious_101
One section at 8 is generally okay. But 7 in any section means you have to have something substantial elsewhere to make up for it. My guess would be that it's the grad students that get in with 7 in a section due to their strengths elsewhere. Also, you cannot have less than 8 in BS. Likewise, less than 7 in any section is automatic rejection. Writing section can tolerate as low as M, I believe. I have seen stats of people getting in with two 8's, again likely grad students with 3.9+ GPAs and other stuff. I would try to hit the 9/N cutoffs to be safe - that is re-write the MCAT if you're sitting below those cutoffs.
