Applemanv3
You would have a good chance at UWO if it weren't for your writing score, as they had a cutoff of R last year. However, every year is different and so, given that you met and exceeded all the other cutoffs, I'd say you should try for UWO. As for Queen's, you do have a very good shot given that your 4th and 5th years', when averaged out, would meet the mid 3.7 2-most-recent-yr GPA cutoff. It's up to you to really write-up an excellent application, though. So, from what I see, you stand a good chance for Queen's, and if the cutoff in writing is lowered for UWO, an excellent chance there as well. As for McMaster, you could give it a shot. No harm there. Not to mention UofT. For UOttawa, you seem to be at a 3.88 wGPA (I did 3.5x1+3.9x2+4x12 all divided by 6). This could also be a possibility, although they will give no weight to your MCAT. The only school for which you don't have too much of a chance is NOSM. Then again, none of us from anywhere but the Northern parts of Ontario do stand a chance anyway. Wait until OMSAS opens, see if there are any changes to the schools' policies, and give it a shot. You seem quite competitive in my opinion. MD2019_A
thanks appleman! anyone else with different views? UofT might like your application because they look at your application holistically and there's a clear sign of GPA improvement. I think you should be good for med schools in Canada (Y)
EBDOC15
with your stats you're guaranteed an interview at UWO (unless things change). ps. UWO has never had an R for WS, Queen's has but last year it was Q. You're also above all the academic cut offs for Queen's last cycle. The thing is Queen's has also implemented evaluating EC so even if you have the academic cutoffs, you're not guaranteed an interview. Last year Queen's post-interview ranking was 100% based on interview.
Applemanv3
@ EBDOC15: omg! that's right. totally my mistake there, Jacinthebox! You are good to go for UWO as long as things stay the same!

gb35
Just make sure for UWO that your course load meets their "60%" rule. edit: specifically, your 4th and 5th years need to meet UWO's 60% rule because those are the only years that would meet Western's GPA cutoff. So in those two years, at least 60% of your courses need to be at the senior level (3rd or 4th year).
