cokezero
I have a question about people you choose as your referees for medical school applications in Ontario. Is the referee only required to simply write and submit the reference letter, and then contact with the referee and medical school ends there? Or is there a chance medical schools will call or e-mail them if they need clarification or further information? Sorry if this question seems ignorant, I am brand new to this whole application process. I would check the OMSAS instruction booklet to get the answer to this question, but it's not out yet and I'd like to figure it out sooner rather than later. preppy038
Not that I know of, no. They would contact the people listed for your ECs though to confirm that you have done the EC as written. But even that is random and not everyone gets contacted.
Mithril
The University of Manitoba phoned all three of my referees last winter. Maybe Ontario schools do random calls too.
Chantalle47
Newfoundland called at least one of my reference letter people.
