Technically the review takes place at June 30 when all the transcripts are due, but you may be able the beg the office etc - I would not think of this as being automatic though. It is that review by the way that I think has to take place and complete prior to Schulich saying the class is actually full. One problem is that most schools don't release their final transcripts for the summer until some time early in Sept - which is after the start of school. If you did fail a course or something like that etc your spot would be released far too late to be reasonable for another applicant to take it.
