Which type of research activity do accepted abstracts/posters belong in?

Recommended Posts

If I have abstracts that were submitted and accepted for poster presentations at conferences/annual meetings, should I indicate these as 'posters', 'abstracts', or 'presentations'? They fit into all three categories.

I emailed UBC and they did not offer much help - they said "it is up to you".

In addition, I'm not sure what to write down as the status: 'Accepted', 'Presented' or 'Published in Conference Proceedings'? Again, they fit in all three categories.

Are certain choices viewed upon more favourably?

I think you are over-analyzing. Posters, abstracts, and presentations would probably all be viewed similarly. Only publications will look better.

As for status, your abstracts would be classified as accepted only since you have not presented them yet, and of course not published in proceedings yet. Only put down the status BEFORE June 1st.

They have been presented and have been published in proceedings online already. I guess I should choose one of those two rather than 'accepted'.
