drake19 Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 I posted this on another post...but here it is again.. I highly recommend Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (CMS) I'm doing a multi-degree program (M.Sc. / M.H.A. / M.D.) which takes five years to complete and no summers. I completed my M.Sc. and half of 1st year meds, I'll be completing the other half of 1st + my M.H.A. next year. Traditional curriculum + systems approach but exams every 2 weeks for your courses - this means less cramming. Awesome Match LIst / above avg board scores. The school gets a bad rap because its in a sub-urb (North Chicago, 1 hour from Chicago). Canadian friendly - Cdn profs, Cdn students, Cdn collaborations. Tuition is much chepaer than Wayne State, better match list / higher avg board scores. Why is everyone infautated with Wayne State in this forum?? u Disadvantage to Cdns applying to U.S. Med Schools - I have a green card and 4 years away from dual citizneship, but from what I hear non-U.S. / non-green carders can't work for money, can't leave for more than 2 months, visas are annoying, and your residences will be limited in all U.S. M.D. school.
