University of Toronto Summer School Grades

I'm aware that UofT takes summer school grades, but how do they consider which grades are taken?

For example, after my first year I completed 2 courses during the summer term. I'm also planning on taking summer courses come the SUMMER 2012 term. Dropping my first year (lowest year), does this mean that the summer grades taken after my first year are also dropped? Will the grades I earn in the Summer 2012 term be used towards my application? I'm planning to apply Fall 2012 for for the 2013 application cycle.

They consider their "years" to start in September and end in August. So yes, courses you take in summer of 2012 will count in your 2011-2012 average.
