I was looking at the university of manitoba admission statistics and they seem kind of low. http://umanitoba.ca/faculties/dentistry/prospective_students/dent_program.html

 

I have a feeling that the site has not been updated in a long time. Can anyone tell me what the averages of getting in last year for DMD program were? For OOP?

EDIT: last year OOP: 3.8 core GPA and 23 DAT average needed for interview

they have a unique way of calculating gpa

3xbest year, 2xcore courses, 1x remaining years except lowest year which is dropped

This years class had an average of 4.00 (out of 4.5 - so an A average) for admittance, but it is a solely IP class. Also they do put a ton of emphasis on carving and PAT.

I don't think there is an OOP waitlist. A friend turned down acceptance. But she had crazy stats

That's very impressive, you have any tips on carving? Did you attend any help for pay sessions like rock the dat or the ones being offered this year?

No idea for OOP but, in province I believe was. Average dat=22.18 PAT=22.93 Carving = 24.72 AA= 18.9 GPA=4.0 range= 3.64-4.38
