UBC Medical School MCAT scores

Recommended Posts

I recently received my MCAT scores, which were significantly lower than I had expected. Although I am quite disappointed with the results, it is too late to repeat my MCAT for the 2011/2012 application cycle, and so I have no choice but to use these scores towards my application.

With that said, I was wondering if anyone knows whether it is possible to be accepted into UBC medical school with a low MCAT score (I have heard that UBC does not put much emphasis towards the MCAT)?

Thank you for your time and help.

It is possible but whether it is likely is the question.

I think that if your other criteria are good you can get an interview as the MCAT does not have weight pre interview as I understand it.

Post interview, if everything else is good then I think it is possible to get accepted.

It's really hard to say whether or not this score will hurt your application significantly. I have heard of someone getting in with 26Q... but that's the lowest I have ever heard of... But hope for the best, you can always write it again and apply next year if it doesn't work out :)
