dbills169
Hi! So I'm currently doing my BSc. in Human Kinetics and in my third year of study I run into a bit of a dilemma. So my courses are worth more (some are worth 0.75 credits others 1.25 credits) and therefore I would only have to take 3-4 courses since the credits are worth more (meaning more work involved). Does anyone know if this is an issue with any medical schools? Would they consider it as a full semester/year or would I have to take extra courses? Thanks! Corie
What would constitute a full semester is generally based on credit count, not number of courses. Usually a full semester is 15 credits (different universities have different scales of # of credits per course). As long as you take 15 credits, it's viewed as a full course load. At McGill, 3 hours of lecture a week for 13 weeks is generally equivilant to 3 credits... If in doubt, I would recommend calling the schools that you are interested in.
