Behavioural Science specialist vs. Biology major for a pre med student?

If you want to get into medical school, take the one that you will be interested in the most because just being interested is more than enough motivation for yout to try really hard and do well.

If you want to have a decent backup plan, you won't be able to do much with a biology degree, I'm not sure about behavioural sciences but it sounds a bit more promising, you should look into this.

Also, if possible go to York U if possible, it will quadruple your chances of getting in :)

Before university, I was dead-set on life sci - there was no way I could possibly want to do anything else. It was the perfect premed program!

However, a lot will change once you settle in and start learning the more advanced stuff - this is when I found out how much I really love biology. The material, the profs, and the learning environment were a perfect fit for me! Everyone always says "do what you like" and I know a lot of us ignored it in favour of the most "medically relevant" programs we could find at first. The sooner you find and pursue what you truly are passionate about, the better! Good luck with your choices! :D
