Summer Research in Toronto

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I'm a 1st year med student at Western and I'm interested in doing research in Toronto (at Sunnybrook) this summer. The doctor I want to work with is willing to take me on - the only thing now is finding funding. I have no idea how to go about looking for funding. Most of the research funding/awards I've found online are specifically for UofT students. Anyone done this before or know where to look?

If it's something you're really interested in, you could always offer to volunteer.

That being said, it does look nicer to have some sort of research award. If it's a specialty, check the Canadian website for that specialty's society. Also check the UME hall for postings on the bulletin board. You should get some more e-mails regarding scholarships too.
