If I get to school and they decide to close, I'm going to be peeved. Happened once last year - showed up for a lab, get to school and they decide to close by the time i walk over to LSB

Happened to me as well. I had pulled an all nighter that night and just wanted to get it over with my midterm. School decides to close mid day...

Sorry, I don't know anything about Rosonina except he's a pretty nice dude.

Anyways, Declan Williams Biol3010 midterm was ridiculous. For every MC question, he said there may be multiple correct answers and to get the mark you have to circle all correct options. There weren't any options like "A and B". Literally every question could have had every combination of answers.

Wow that's ridiculous

What the actual fuck ... I got 91 in a 4th year bio course and the prof said that 31% of the class had A/A+ and he had to take it to a committee and they made a "decision". Ended up with an A... I would imagine that in a class of 40 people that one extra person that had an A would be bumped down, not the only fucking person in the class with an A+

Who's face do I rip off?

That's weird. I got a 79.3 in that class and ended up with an A on my transcript. I wasn't complaining though ^_^  hope your situation gets worked out.

I can't really say anything. my adv biochem prof bumped my midterm grade to 80 and I thought about dropping it.

btw, i was speaking with my practicum supervisor, and he said there is a good chance of a strike happening, but it's unlikely that it lasts very long. He also said that if U of T comes to an agreement with their TAs, York probably will too. The admin know that the last strike set the school back a lot.

We will know by March 3rd. Let's just pray it doesn't happen.

From CUPE3903's official site:

"CUPE 3903 has set a strike deadline of 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3.

On Friday, February 6, the Bargaining Team requested a “no board” report from the Ministry of Labour, in response to the Employer’s failure to show significant movement at the bargaining table. The “no board” report was officially issued on Tuesday, February 10, which puts the union in a legal strike position as early as Friday, February 27.

The union, however, has scheduled five more bargaining meetings with the Employer, which will be attended by a provincially-appointed Conciliator. Our hope is to avoid a strike by creating more opportunities to bargain. The last bargaining meeting with the Employer has been scheduled for Sunday, March 1, which is when the union expects the Employer to present its final offer.

The Employer’s offer will be presented to members of CUPE 3903 at a “final offer” Special General Membership Meeting on Monday, March 2. If the members reject the offer, they will likely move to strike on Tuesday, March 3."
