Rewards Visa Cards

We are currently offering 30,000 bonus rewards points for all new ScotiaGold Passport Visa cards included with New Student Professional Line of Credit Plans. (expiry June 30/12)

 

Reward points can be redeemed for brand name merchandise, gift cards or unrestricted travel (any airline, anytime of year)

 

30,000 points is equivalent to approx $250-$300

 

ScotiaGold Passport Visa also includes travel insurance, rental car insurance, purchase protection & concierge service.

 

The annual fee of $110 is waived throughout med school & residency.

It's available for new ScotiaGold visa accounts but not for switching from an existing Scotia Visa.

 

Damn...I also switched from a moneyback card (what they gave me with my professional LOC) to a Passport recently, so I didn't get the 30,000 bonus points.

 

I think the RBC Avion is a better card, even with an annual fee. If you spend $15,000 with that card you can get a short-haul round trip flight (up to $350). You'd have to spend $35,000 with Scotia for the same reward. The one benefit that Scotia has is 5% back on flight purchases, which I don't think RBC has.
