Courses for U of T

Recommended Posts

I am still in highschool(grade 9) and I want to become a dentist as a I grow older.

After reading some of the threads on this forum, I am still unclear as to which courses to take in university and are they hard?

I know that I am still young, i'm just taking an extra step for my future :)

Make sure you take biology, chemistry, physics and math until grade 12. As for university, you'll need to take similar science courses, but every dental school has its own set of prerequisites.

Great advice. You have a long time before you need to worry so relax and just focus on working hard in academics and extra curriculars. If you are very eager, you can start doing some scanning on this forum and dental school websites for prerequisites, how to prepare for university/dental school and expectations. I'd caution how vigorously you research because much will change over the next 6-8 years. Its good that you're getting your feet wet now, but enjoy high school and continue working hard!

Hope this helps.
