How many of you go to class?

Recommended Posts

For those of you who just finished their first or second year of medical school, how often did you go to class?

Thanks.

I can only speak for myself, but I would say it's representative of the class... at least in terms of attendance.

I went to almost every lecture... I think I might have missed a total of 3 or 4 days worth of lectures throughout the entire year... Although, that's just me looking back on it. I'm pretty sure I didn't miss a single day in PRIN (first semester) and then in FMED I can only remember missing a couple of days for doctors appointments, being sick or just generally beat down.

Most of the class attends most of the lectures... But, the real question is... how attentive are they? :P

And an even better question to ask is... which lectures are important?

I'm not in medical school but I'd assume the ones that are important are those that are mandatory? I'd also assume that if the lectures have podcasts uploaded that day then its probably not that important to attend. Does UBC have something like that?
