you get an email address (@ualberta.ca) when you submit an application for any undergradaute program at UofA! that is so unheard of! you don't even have to go there to get one! wowwww

 

That's how they officially communicate with all of their applicants. After a year of inactivity the e-mail address becomes "deleted" (it may actually be sooner than that- not 100% sure). You won't necessarily have it indefinitely. But if you're applying to med, make sure you check that address at least once a week (and then once it's getting close to when interviews are, once every day or two). That's where the interview invite/rejection will go.

I believe the vast majority of people prefer to check every 15 minutes.
