Cadavers in dental school

Recommended Posts

yup full body dissections are done at UofT..even though you may not need it when you get into practice, anatomy learned through dissection gives a better visual of how everything is layered. also, you do need to know body anatomy for the boards i think.

Go to their website an look up the first year course list. If there's gross anatomy then yes. If there is only head and neck, then no.

Yep there is both Gross and Head and neck anatomy.

Do dental students work with Cadavers like in medical schools? I am referring to D.D.S programs ie Western, U of T, etc.

If so, do we get to dissect them?

I know this is a thread from 4 years ago, but out of curiosity, do the schools still have dissections/prosections?
