I got an interview as in province from UBC this year but I hope I can get an interview from UofA as well. I know my mcat is not high as I am out of province. In practice, I think GPA makes much more of a difference to UofA than MCAT. GPA is worth 30% of the application MCAT is worth 20% of the application So GPA is worth a decent bit more. I got accepted as a 3rd year OOP applicant with similar stats(4.0/36). Of course ECs come in to play, and of course the interview. I think my interview was a big factor for me; I didn't get interviewed at all the schools I applied to, but all the schools I interviewed at accepted me. I think you have a great shot at interview, but I recommend putting some work and serious thought into how you're gunna attack that interview.
