gingersnap
Do we just list our employments, awards etc or do we have to describe them and how they impacted us?
cherbear
You get 500 characters (I think!) to make them sound pretty, talk a bit about what you did and if you have room talk about what they meant to you I suppose. I would try to use the character limit, because someone reads your ECs and assigns you points based on them.
invincible110
where did you see the 500 character limit? This is what it says: "It is in your interest to be complete, yet brief and to the point. Answers must be typed and you are required to respect the space allocated. Answers in point form are easier to peruse. We want to know what you have done in your life so far, why you did it, and what you have gained from it as a person and as a future physician." BUT the boxes in the application can be made as large as you want and there appears to be no limit to how much you can write in the description boxes
cherbear
I just tested it. Although you can change the size of the boxes, if you try to save your application and the description box has more the 500 characters is does not allow you to save. It did the same thing last year. invincible110
Oh you're right. Thanks for the clarification! Wow that's a lot of space to write about for each activity. I guess this will take me lot more time than OMSAS
SoLiTuDe
I did e-mail admissions with regards to exactly what to include in a description and the response I got from Carolyn was: "We are more so looking for the details of what the activity entailed." collegedude22
This isn't the essay here - they even say that bullet point is easier to peruse. They're just looking for a complete but brief summary of what the activity was and what you did. If it was a truly meaningful activity, talk about it in your essay.
